Privacy Policy

Introduction

This Privacy Policy applies to the provision of personal information by a survey participant to Survey Opinion Group LLC (collectively “we”, “us” or “our”). As used herein, the term “Site” refers to the unique url and webpage provided to you for purposes of completing the provided survey, and mobile-optimized versions of the same, to which this Privacy Policy is linked. This Privacy Policy is provided so you understand how and under what circumstances any personal information you provide may be used. We do not sell your information to third parties. We urge you to read the entire Privacy Policy. By providing personal information, you indicate your acceptance of all terms contained herein. If you do not accept any of the terms, you must cease use of the survey and Site immediately and should not provide any personal information.

Collection and Use of Personally Identifiable Information

The provision of personally identifiable information is not required to participate in the survey or to have your responses recorded. It does, however, provide important information that we use when evaluating the survey results. Personally identifiable information (“PII”) that may be collected includes, but is not limited to, the cell phone number contacted if you received a survey link via text-to-web, your gender, age, race (collected for representative sample purposes only), zip codes, educational background, political affiliation, employment status, etc. If any PII is requested and collected while completing a survey, such responses and provided PII will be used in connection with analyzing the survey results and to potentially link the provided responses to voter IDs and other such important analytics to verify voter registration, if possible. PII will remain confidential unless disclosure is necessary: (i) to comply with applicable laws or to respond to lawful requests and legal processes; (ii) to protect our rights and property and that of our agents, Site users, and others; or (iii) due to a merger or acquisition in which such disclosure is required. If desired, you may contact us and request changes relating to your PII, including a request to have your information removed from our database. You may request such change by contacting us at privacy@surveyopiniongroup.com.

Children’s Privacy

We are committed to protecting the privacy of children. In the event a provided survey intends to collect information from minors, parental permission will be sought and obtained before permitting those under the age of majority to participate. In all other instances, we do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from any person we actually know is a child younger than 13 and terminate surveys if we discover a participant is under the age of majority.

California Privacy Rights

Individuals may request information related to and the removal of their PII from our database by contacting us at the email address provided above.

How We Respond to Do Not Track Disclosures

We do not respond to Do Not Track signals sent by various web browsers. To date, a clear standard has yet to be developed concerning these signals and how they should be treated by website operators. Thus, we do not respond to any Do Not Track signals sent by an individual user’s web browser. We are permitted pursuant to this Privacy Policy to collect any information you provide through use of our Site and use such information as described in this Privacy Policy.

Cookies, Web Beacons and Server Logs

We and related web hosting providers, which may include advertisers and ad serving and tracking companies, sometimes utilize “cookie” technology on our Site. Cookies are bits of data stored on your hard drive that contain no personally identifying information, but which help enhance your web-browsing experience. Not all web browsers accept cookies, and those that do usually provide a preference or setting that allows you to refuse and remove most types of browser cookies. If your browser does not accept cookies, you may still utilize our Site and participate in our surveys. Server logs capture certain non-personally identifying data, such as the time and date of a web visit, the browser and operating system being used, and the web URL a user linked from. This information is used in aggregate form to help us plan system enhancements when necessary and to provide content that is compatible with our survey participants’ web-browsing systems.

Privacy Precaution Warning

Please note that no data transmission over the Internet is 100% secure. As a result, we cannot guarantee the security of the information that you transmit via our Site. If you elect to submit your PII, you do so at your own risk.
